LBH Housing Award — Nomination Form
Let's Build Homes is launching our first Housing Award to be presented at our second annual fall event this November.
This award recognizes the people, projects, and partnerships moving Vermont closer to a state where everyone can afford a home, like the legislators who took risks to pass good policy, towns that said yes to housing, projects that got shovels in the ground, and advocates who showed up when it mattered.
A few ideas of what we're looking for (not an exhaustive list):
-
A state representative or state senator who used their position to advance housing supply by sponsoring or shepherding legislation, building coalitions, or taking a hard vote that moved Vermont toward more housing.
-
A project, partnership, or policy solution that broke new ground, creative financing, a smart zoning reform, a public-private partnership, or any approach other communities should be looking to replicate.
-
An elected official or town manager who used local authority to say yes to housing by updating zoning, approving a project, or leading their community through a hard conversation about growth.
-
An individual who showed up to testify, organize neighbors, or write letters, to move housing forward.
-
Have something else in mind that doesn't fit these examples? Nominate it anyway! We want to hear about it.
Nominations close on September 7. Recipients will be notified in mid-October and honored at our fall event in November (date and location coming soon).
