Join Let's Build Homes for a chance to roll up our sleeves and build alongside fellow housing advocates from across Vermont. We'll spend the early afternoon volunteering on site at Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity's build at Mechanicsville Rd. Once completed, this project will feature 6-units. Whether you're a longtime advocate or just getting involved, this is a great low-key way to meet the coalition, see affordable housing being built firsthand, and build community with people working toward the same goal. What to expect: Hands-on volunteer work at the Habitat build site (dress to work outdoors — closed-toe shoes required) No construction experience necessary

Our next Housing Meetup will be held in collaboration with Up End This in Barre. Up End This is a think-tank and innovation studio dedicated to redefining housing through advanced modular solutions. Join us to talk about housing, connect with your neighbors, and check out the headquarters of a local business working to address the housing shortage. Coffee and pastries will be provided.

On Thursday, December 3rd, we're hosting a convening to celebrate the housing changemakers across our state. Our housing awards will recognize the people, projects, and partnerships that overcome barriers and move Vermont closer to a state where everyone can afford a home, including legislators who championed good policy, towns that said yes to housing, builders who got shovels in the ground, and advocates who showed up. Join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and continued momentum in Vermont's housing movement. Appetizers will be available alongside a cash bar.
