LBH Group Build with Habitat for Humanity – Hinesburg

Riggs Meadow, Hinesburg VT
Join Let's Build Homes for a chance to roll up our sleeves and build alongside fellow housing advocates from across Vermont. We'll spend the early afternoon volunteering on site at Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity's build at Windy Ridge, part of the Riggs Meadow development, a mixed-income neighborhood that will bring 36 permanently affordable rental apartments and 8 shared equity homes to Hinesburg, with innovative geothermal heating and cooling to keep costs low for residents. Afterward, we'll head to Frost Beer Works Taproom to connect with other people who care about solving Vermont's housing shortage. Whether you're a longtime advocate or just getting involved, this is a great low-key way to meet the coalition, see affordable housing being built firsthand, and build community with people working toward the same goal. What to expect: Hands-on volunteer work at the Habitat build site (dress to work outdoors — closed-toe shoes required) No construction experience necessary Casual social time afterward at Frost Beer Works Note - the build event has a capacity limit of 15 people, but the Frost Beer Works event afterwards is open to all!
