'Let's Build Homes' launches housing abundance coalition in Montpelier
Let's Build Homes Steering Committee
January 16, 2025
This week marked an excellent start for Let's Build Homes!
Thank you to everyone who came and filled the Cedar Creek Room at the State House on Tuesday, and to the now over 100 organizations as well as more than 300 Vermonters who have signed on as individuals. Together we have demonstrated that this new coalition for housing abundance already has brought together leaders from every corner of Vermont and every sector of our economy.
The response to the event has been remarkable. Major news outlets across Vermont covered our coalition's formation and mission:
- New Group of Power Players Will Lobby for Housing Policy in Montpelier (VT Digger)
- Vermont’s Housing Crisis Sparks a New Initiative (MyNBC5)
- A New Housing Coalition Has a Familiar Face (Seven Days VT)
- New Coalition Calls for VT Housing Expansion (WCAX)
- Vermont Leaders Launch Non-Profit to Address Housing Crisis (MyChamplainValley)
- Chamber Director Gives Rural Voice to Statewide Housing Initiative (Caledonian Record)
- Let’s Build Homes Coalition Launches to Tackle Vermont’s Housing Crisis (Vermont Biz)

The momentum continued on Wednesday when LBH Executive Chair, Miro Weinberger, was a guest on The Morning Drive discussing Vermont's housing shortage and how to fix it, and then gave LBH's first legislative testimony to the Vermont House Committee on General and Housing.
This widespread coverage and public interest shows that our message is resonating: Vermont is ready for bold action on housing. Please help us keep building momentum. If you have not already, please consider sharing this website with your networks and on social media platforms you are active on.
Together, we're building a movement that will make Vermont more affordable, vibrant, and inclusive.
